by: Michael Kennedy, Atlanta, GA Six years ago, following a burglary, I had the Flowery Branch GA Locksmith, Lock Doctor, install a Medeco lock and reinforced strikeplate. Over the past two months, my neighbor and I have had a recurring problem with burglaries in our condo complex. All of my neighbors have been burglarized, with the criminal either prying open or kicking in the front doors. My front door has shown evidence of 3 separate attempts to break in with NO SUCCESS! The burglar just can't get past that Medeco lock. My alarm system has never activated since the door doesn't budge. We Protect What You Value Most Have you heard of Lock Bumping? It is a technique used by criminals to enter a house or a business without any signs of forced entry. requiring little or no skill, a "bump" key that is easily obtained on the internet and takes less than 1 minute to get in. That’s right, 1 minute. Locks have pins and tumblers in a cylinder which must line up in a special order to open the lock. Even more important, ONLY you can have copies made of your High Security keys.
